Mold is a fungus type and different from plants, animals and bacteria. Molds are kind of decomposers of dead organic matter such as leaves, wood and plants. Mold can sometimes infect living plants and animals. Spores and organs such as human hair is the favorite of the mold colonies, but are too small for us to see without a microscope. If a large amount of mold growing on the surface, often appears black or green. The rust color is affected by nutrient source and age of the colony. If mold is growing behind your home wallpaper, colorful pink may appear or purple spots. (more…)
Almost everyone is not affected by exposure to mold, if they are not exposed to many fungi or mold. Unfortunately, they are not sure what kind of molds that are available around us. Also we do not know if much exposure for a short-term exposure to mold can worse than not exposure for a long time. If you suspect you have mold in your house, first, do not worry. Remember that mold is everywhere, so it’s normal to have them inside your house. Even if you have more than normal amounts of mold in your house, it doesn’t mean you have been exposed to mold. Mold exposure means that mold spores or fungi or toxins are getting into your body through inhalation (breathing), ingestion (eating) or absorbed through the skin. If mold is in wall or on wall surface in your house, but in the air, you are safe. However, this does not mean that you can ignore if you feel you know somewhere mold is inside your house. Mold, fungi, and spore will continue to grow as long as there is water and humidity. Not only it posed risk to your health, mold can damage the construction of your building. (more…)
Let’s start out with the basics. Mold is an organism that is everywhere. There is no place there is no mold unless it is a “Clean Room.” According to Wikipedia: the definition of a Clean Room is an environment, typically used in manufacturing or scientific research, that has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors. More accurately, a clean room has a controlled level of contamination that is specified by the number of particles per cubic meter at a specified particle size. (more…)
