In theory, any kind of food is having the capability to trigger food allergic reaction in our body. All foods contain molecules capable of triggering a response of the immune system. However, for many reasons—including both the structure of the food molecules and our body’s immunological responses—the foods that cause the majority of allergic reactions tend to be few in number. Even though most food allergy caused relatively minor and mild symptoms, in some circumstance food allergy reactions can cause a severe food allergy reactions, and even a life-threatening experiences for some.
Nowadays people often look for the ideal “hypoallergenic diet,” and often hear about the latest “allergy diet” from popular publications and zealous friends, unfortunately such a thing does not exist. What is “hypoallergenic” for one person could be life-threatening for another. Each person is an individual. There are lots of factors such as inherited allergies tendencies, medical allergy history, and family lifestyle will all contribute to the way in which one child’s body reacts to the “foreign” foods and chemicals that enter it. Some response to both food and nonfood factors like airborne and environmental allergens exposure also play a role. There is no reason that any baby, child, or family should suffer as a consequence of food allergy. However, the management of the condition does require understanding and patience.
If you have food allergy, even a small amount of it can make you sick. People who are having multiple food allergies are often left helplessly floundering on how to solve their own problem. Some suggested that strict allergen avoidance of food that can trigger allergies should be your best friend. An early identification and treatment of food allergic reactions are also the most important factors to prevent more serious health due to allergic consequences.
Most of the time, food allergy and intolerance are put into the same category. Our digestive system reacts to different part of food, like protein or sugar contained in food. Digestive system in people with food intolerance will have a problem to digest particular substances, resulting in bloating, gas, vomiting or diarrhea. Gluten intolerance is different with allergy reaction. It is called celiac disease gluten, where immune system is involved more than allergy reactions. In celiac disease gluten symptoms, our body can’t process gluten inside wheat and other grains. Its treatment is like many food allergies, namely avoidance of the offending substance, which in this case is gluten, most popular by name of living gluten free.
Some kids don’t have particular enzyme needed to digest some foods. This is more than ever affect children and adults who have lactose intolerance food. Lactose intolerance babies can be grouped in to inherited lactose tolerance and acquired lactose tolerance. Both have lacked lactase in digestion to keep them from processing milk & dairy products. In this more specific case the person is known as having milk intolerance and dairy intolerance. In some rare cases, acidophilus bacteria are mixed with milk. These bacteria in turn will help digest and break down lactose.
Here are some foods that are known that cause most food allergies reactions: seafood, shrimp, peanuts, milk and dairy products, eggs, soy, wheat. Some people also developed intolerant to other additives in food, this is also like colorings and preservatives. They are yellow dye No.5 (can cause hives), MSG or monosodium glutamate (can cause flushing, headaches, and chest pain), sulfites (can cause sulfite allergy and anaphulactoid and asthmatic bronchial reactions).
